Welcome to ALM !

Adults Learning Mathematics (ALM) is an international forum for the exchanging of ideas, practice, and research at all levels. If you decide to become a member of the ALM community you will have a chance to share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues from across Europe, the Americas, and Australasia, with leading figures in mathematics education research, policy and practice, numeracy practitioners and postgraduate researchers.
Our online seminars and annual conferences also offer members unique opportunities to present practical experiences as well as access new thinking within a supportive and friendly research environment.
We are delighted you are interested in our work so do consider becoming a member of ALM and access our bulletin to keep up to date with news of ALM events and publications that are relevant to the international adults learning mathematics research community.
We gather in the ALM community with the common cause to make mathematics available to all, especially adults. We know from teaching experiences that positive learning outcomes in mathematics can improve people’s confidence in themselves and their life chances.
By becoming a member, you support ALM to maintain a public presence, to host seminars both virtually and in person, and to provide bursaries for emerging researchers and practitioners as the extent of our funds allow.
Please do become a member and join us in our quest.
