Stay in a Different Hotel

The 22nd ALM Conference will be held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, which is located at 5000 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA ‎. Rooms have been reserved at a special discounted rate for conference participants who book a full stay by Friday, June 12, 2015. The reserved rate includes a shuttle to and from DC National Airport and nearby Metro, as well as numerous amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, hotel restaurant, sushi bar, gift shop, car rental companies, barber shop, fitness center, and automated teller (ATM).

After June 12, conference participants will be required to call the Hilton’s Group Reservations Department at 703-845-1010 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. or they can call the toll free number (which is available 24 hours a day) at 1-800-HILTONS (1-800-445-8667) to book their stay.  Once an individual reservation has been made, any changes should be made directly with the Hilton’s Group Reservations Department.

Travel

EWA Travel is a participating travel agency for the 22nd International Conference of Adults Learning Maths. EWA Travel will discount all published fares (up to 10% depending on fare and advance purchase) with United Airlines and will compare the savings with this airline against promotional fares for all airlines.
You will have the option of using United Airlines or another airline, depending on the fare comparisons and your preference. Please note that although you are responsible for making your own travel arrangements, you are not required to use EWA Travel. We are providing this option as a convenience for you. Please refer to United Airlines File ZTXD. Please note that a $35.00–$45.00 processing fee will be added to each ticket issued.

Airports and Local Transportation

Flying to Washington, DC is easy. Participants can fly into any one of the three local area airports: (1) Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, (2) Dulles International Airport, and (3) Baltimore-Washington International Airport. The Hilton Alexandria Mark Center is accessible from all three airports, and as is shown in the table below, Hilton guests can take a complimentary shuttle from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport: This airport is served by Metrorail, taxicabs, and SuperShuttle. For those who want to take Metrorail from the airport to the hotel, the hotel is located close to the Pentagon City and King Street Metro stations. Travel time between Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and the hotel is about 10 minutes.

Dulles International Airport: This airport is served by the Washington Flyer shuttle as well as other shared ride shuttle services and taxicabs. Take the Washington Flyer Shuttle (approximately $10) to West Falls Church Metrorail station and continue to the Pentagon City Metrorail station. Travel time between Dulles International and the hotel is 35 minutes.

BWI Airport:  This airport is served by SuperShuttle and other shared ride shuttle services, taxicabs, and the MARC train commuter rail system to Union Station Metrorail in Washington, DC. Take the MARC train (approximately $8) to Union Station and continue to the Pentagon City Metro station via the Metrorail. The travel time between BWI and the hotel is approximately 1 hour.
